Professor Roi Cohen Kadosh is the Head of the School of Psychology and a Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Surrey. He holds a PhD in Neuropsychology (summa cum laude) from Ben-Gurion University (2007). His research focuses on understanding the biological and psychological foundations of learning and cognition, particularly in mathematical abilities, attention, and neurostimulation interventions. He leads the Brain Research and Interdisciplinary Neuroscience (BRAIN) Section, emphasizing translational neuroscience and clinical applications.
Education:
- PhD in Neuropsychology (summa cum laude), Ben-Gurion University, 2007
Research Interests:
- Neurocognitive bases of mathematical cognition
- Neurostimulation (e.g., tRNS, tDCS) for cognitive enhancement
- ADHD treatment through combined neurostimulation and cognitive training
- Neuronal excitation/inhibition balance in learning
- Sustained attention and executive functions
Publications: Recent work highlights advancements in ADHD neurophysiology, neurofeedback for attention modulation, and the neurochemical predictors of learning outcomes. His studies often bridge basic neuroscience with clinical applications, such as developing wearable devices for ADHD treatment via Innosphere, his founded company.
Advising & Labs: Supervises 7 current students and collaborates with Innosphere to develop personalized neurostimulation devices. His lab focuses on translational research in cognitive neuroscience and neurotechnology.
