Professor Rohina Joshi is a prominent global health researcher leading the Global Health Research team at the School of Population Health, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney. She serves as Senior Technical Advisor and Aus-Hub lead for the Data for Health Initiative, contributing to strengthening health data systems across the Asia Pacific region.

Research Focus
Professor Joshi's research program aims to strengthen health workforce and health information systems to deliver quality healthcare in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). She applies human-centered design principles to develop effective health interventions and has led significant research on task-sharing for chronic disease management at primary healthcare levels.

Her work has provided critical evidence about Community Health Workers' roles in non-communicable disease service delivery, factors impacting task-sharing implementation, and policy changes for improving death certification processes. She convenes and teaches the 'Global Health and Development' course at UNSW and has previously coordinated the 'Global NCD Control' unit at the University of Sydney. Professor Joshi supervises Masters, PhD and DrPH students, currently serving as primary supervisor for 2 students and joint primary supervisor for 3 students across multiple cohorts.
