Christine Linhart is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Population Health at UNSW Sydney's Faculty of Medicine. Since 2011, she has focused on strengthening civil registration and vital statistics (CRVS) systems in low-to-middle income countries across the Pacific Islands and Southeast Asia. Her work includes 2015-2016 based consultancy in New Caledonia for the Pacific Community and ongoing collaborations with UN Women, UN ESCAP, and Vital Strategies.

Research Interests: Her work integrates CRVS system improvements with policy advocacy, focusing on mortality data accuracy and NCD interventions. Key areas include adolescent health in the Pacific, Indonesia's vulnerable populations, and health system strengthening in the Indo-Pacific region.

- 2021-2022: AUD $43,000 for Health System Strengthening in the Indo-Pacific Region
- 2019-2020: AUD $334,000 for Adolescent Unplanned Pregnancy Study in the Pacific
- 2013-2016: AUD $1,090,000 for NCD risk factor trends and predictive modeling in Pacific Island countries
Teaching: Convenes 'Global Approaches to Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes and Cancer Prevention' and co-convenes 'Foundations of Epidemiology' with 400+ students/term. Previously taught at NYU Sydney (2016-2020) and held diverse roles across 10+ UNSW courses since 2012.
