Rohin Kumar Sharma is an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s School of Continuing Studies (SCS) in the Applied Intelligence Program, where he serves as the chief instructor for MPAI 600: Introduction to Applied Intelligence. He concurrently holds the role of Senior Middle East/Terrorism Analyst at the U.S. Army, briefing senior leadership on CENTCOM region operations, counterterrorism strategies, and threats posed by groups like ISIS and Al Qaeda. Previously, he worked at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) analyzing WMD threats and vulnerabilities, and with the Department of Defense addressing IED challenges through cross-sector collaboration.
His military career includes seven years as a U.S. Army intelligence officer, with deployments to Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom) and Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom). He led a ground surveillance platoon in South Korea and served as a J2 planner.
Educational background: B.A. from Johns Hopkins University (thesis on nuclear deterrence in South Asia); M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University.
Rohin is recognized as a subject matter expert in counterterrorism, WMD proliferation, and military intelligence integration. His expertise spans open-source intelligence analysis, threat assessment, and strategic military planning.
