Dr. Rohail Ashraf is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Marketing, Retail and Tourism within the Business School at Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU). He holds a decade of teaching experience across multiple Higher Education Institutions in three countries, spanning undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, EMBA, and executive education programs. His teaching philosophy emphasizes student engagement and critical thinking, aiming to equip learners with analytical skills to independently address marketing challenges through debate and concept application.
Dr. Ashraf's research focuses on brands, consumer emotions, consumer relationships, bibliometric analyses, and student sample methodologies. Recent explorations include intersections of consumer psychology, marketing, and emerging technologies. His work appears in journals like Journal of Business Research, Psychology & Marketing, and Asia Pacific Journal of Marketing & Logistics.
He has held prior academic roles including Assistant Professorships at King Abdulaziz University (2018–2021) and Lahore University of Management Sciences (2013–2017), and a Research Associate position at Kedge Business School (2010–2013). He currently co-supervises PhD students Howard Robert Dobson (Health and Communication Messages) and Mahmood Mir (Humanized Robots in Service).
