Rogério Gribel is a distinguished researcher in Amazonian botany and conservation genetics, maintaining dual appointments at the National Institute for Amazonian Research (INPA) since 1986 and serving as Director of the Scientific Research Department at the Rio de Janeiro Botanic Garden Research Institute (JBRJ) since 2010.
