Roger Sparks

Roger Sparks is a Professor of Economics at Mills College, part of Northeastern University's Oakland Campus. He holds a PhD from the University of California, Davis and a BA from UC Riverside. With over 35 years of experience at Mills since 1989, his work bridges advanced economic theory with practical applications.

His research focuses on applying game theory and information economics to topics including unemployment theory, efficiency wages, mortgage markets, environmental policy, and utility regulation. He has authored over 20 journal articles and serves on the Board of Directors for the Kemper Human Rights Education Foundation.

Sparks integrates real-world research into teaching, enhancing student engagement through hands-on analysis techniques. His interdisciplinary approach spans labor economics, financial markets, and public policy domains.
