Roger Schibli is Associate Professor at ETH Zurich's Department of Chemistry and Applied Biosciences and Head of the Center for Radiopharmaceutical Science (CRS), a collaboration between ETH Zurich, Paul Scherrer Institute, and University Hospital Zurich. He obtained his chemistry doctorate from the University of Basel and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Schibli's research focuses on developing targeted radiopharmaceuticals for tumor diagnosis and therapy. His group specializes in chemical modification of biological molecules, radiolabeling techniques, and pharmacological characterization using PET/SPET imaging. Novel radionuclides for clinical applications are produced using cyclotron and neutron facilities at ETH and PSI.
His work bridges chemistry, radiopharmacy, and oncology, with applications in precision cancer medicine. Schibli mentors doctoral students through the CRS and maintains active collaborations with clinical partners at University Hospital Zurich.
