معرفی
Roger Mailler is a Professor of Computer Science at Oklahoma State University (OSU), located in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst (2004), a BS in Computer Science from Stony Brook University (1999), and completed postdoctoral research in Artificial Intelligence at Cornell University (2004–2005). His research focuses on artificial intelligence, autonomous agents, multiagent systems, and computational neuroscience, with notable contributions to distributed algorithms, neural modeling, and robotics. He has taught numerous courses including Cloud Computing, Theoretical Foundations of Computing, and Doctoral Dissertation supervision.
Mailler’s work spans interdisciplinary applications, such as modeling C. elegans locomotion mechanics and neural circuits, and developing algorithms for dynamic distributed systems. He has secured funding from the U.S. Air Force and the National Science Foundation, including a NSF CAREER grant for problem-solving in dynamic environments. His publications address challenges in distributed constraint satisfaction, robotic path planning, and biological systems modeling. His teaching portfolio includes advanced topics in software engineering, image processing, and professional practice.
Grants include projects like “Choosing a Direction: Neural Models of Decision Making” (2018–2021) and “CAREER: Problem Solving in Dynamic, Distributed Environments” (2014–2019). His research bridges theoretical computer science with practical applications in robotics, neuroscience, and distributed computing.
