Rodica FRUNZULICĂ

Rodica FRUNZULICĂ is a Professor at the Faculty of Installation Engineering, Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB), and affiliated with the Center for Energy Efficiency in Construction. Her work focuses on advancing energy efficiency in building systems through thermal engineering solutions.

Her research expertise spans:

• Heat supply and district heating system optimization
• Small/large-scale cogeneration technologies
• Energy auditing and rehabilitation of thermal installations
• Modeling/simulation of thermal networks and thermostatic valves

Professor Frunzulică has directed major research initiatives including Horizon 2000 rehabilitation projects, CEEX energy modeling (ENERGSYS), PARTENARIATE monitoring systems for condominiums, and World Bank-funded building renovation programs. She serves as Project Director for Energy Efficiency Improvement through Renovation of Buildings (Contract 7191267/2019).

As an ANRE certified thermal energy auditor and ARACIS Expert, she contributes to national standards development including Normativ I13 revisions for centralized heating and MC 001/2022 energy performance methodologies. Her international collaborations include URE Bâtiments and International EnR projects with European institutions.
