Rocio Cecilia Arce

Rocio Cecilia Arce is a Research Fellow at the Centre de Recerca en Agrigenòmica (CRAG), affiliated with the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). She conducts research within the Plant Synthetic Biology and Metabolic Engineering Program and the Bioengineering of lignocellulosic biomass in corn Research Group.

Her work centers on Synthetic Biology and Metabolic Engineering applications for plant systems, with specialized focus on Biomass Engineering and Lignocellulosic Biomass optimization in corn. This research bridges Plant Biotechnology and Agricultural Genomics to advance sustainable biomass production methodologies.

Dr. Arce operates from Laboratory 2.02 at the CRAG Building on UAB Campus in Cerdanyola, Barcelona, where she develops synthetic biology approaches for agricultural innovation.
