Rochelle Hine is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Rural Health, Monash University, based on GunaiKurnai Country in Gippsland, Victoria. Her work focuses on mental health prevention and early intervention through a social justice lens, addressing social and economic determinants of health. She holds a background in rural social work, specializing in mental health promotion and women's health.
Her research interests include parental mental health challenges, gender diversity, rural health workforce dynamics, and equity in healthcare access. She employs critical qualitative methods and collaborates with lived experience experts.
Rochelle has led/co-investigated 7 projects since 2021, including evaluations of tele-mental health services, stigma reduction initiatives, and programs for vulnerable families. Her recent work explores climate disaster impacts on perinatal health and educator wellbeing strategies.
