Rochelle A. Diamond

Rochelle A. Diamond is a Member of the Professional Staff at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and currently serves as Facility Director Emerita of the Flow Cytometry/Cell Sorting Facility. She has specialized in cell separation and analysis techniques—including flow cytometry, magnetic bead separation, and centrifugation—since 1984, providing consultation, training, and instrument support to over 30 Caltech laboratories annually.

Her research focuses on cellular and developmental immunology, particularly early murine T-cell differentiation. She has co-authored over 25 publications and contributed to the professional text In Living Color: Protocols in Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting (Springer, 2000). Her work has involved collaborations with institutions like the National Institutes of Health, Wiley and Sons, and RG Landes.

Rochelle's publications span immunology, molecular biology, and analytical chemistry, with a strong emphasis on T-cell development, transcriptional regulation, and flow cytometry applications. She has also contributed to community-building initiatives, including symposia and workshops on LGBTQA networking and diversity in science.
