Robyn Mattison serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in Boise State University's Department of Civil Engineering within the College of Engineering, joining the faculty in 2022 after 20+ years in municipal and consulting practice. She teaches Introduction to Careers in Civil Engineering, Technical Communications for Civil Engineers, Capstone Preparation & Professional Readiness, and Capstone Design.
Her professional expertise spans municipal infrastructure systems, with emphasis on water resources and sustainable engineering practices. Prior leadership roles include directing Ketchum's Public Works Department (2013-2017) overseeing water/wastewater/streets divisions, and serving as Boise's Assistant City Engineer (2017-2021) managing $10-20M annual capital improvements for water renewal projects.
A licensed Professional Engineer in Idaho (#11497) and LEED Accredited Professional, her work integrates environmental sustainability with civil infrastructure development. Current research interests focus on practical applications in municipal engineering, sustainable water systems, and professional readiness education for civil engineers.
