Robyn Muncy is Professor of History and Affiliate Professor of American Studies at the University of Maryland, holding office in the Taliaferro Hall. Recognized as a Distinguished Scholar-Teacher for 2025-26, her research focuses on 20th-century U.S. social history with emphasis on gender, labor, and progressive reform movements. She maintains office hours Mondays by appointment.
Her scholarship examines the intersection of gender politics and social policy development, with current work analyzing feminist responses to domestic violence during the 1970s. Core research domains include:
