Robin Trulssen Bye

Robin Trulssen Bye is Professor and Deputy Head of Research at NTNU's Department of ICT and Natural Sciences, where he serves as academic director for MSc in Mechatronics and BSc in Automation and Intelligent Systems. His research explores cyber-physical systems with applications in autonomous ships, machine vision, and biomechatronic devices.

Bye leads projects including NTNU SFI AutoShip and SAFEMATE, and collaborates with Ålesund Biomechanics Lab on computer haptic assisted orthopedic surgery (CHAOS). His teaching covers automation, AI, cybernetics, and control systems across bachelor and master levels.
