Robin S. Cox

Robin S. Cox is a Professor and Program Head for the Climate Action Leadership programs at Royal Roads University, within the School of Humanitarian Studies. She directs the Resilience by Design (RbD) Research Innovation Lab, focusing on multigenerational climate action and disaster resilience.

• Education: PhD in Counselling Psychology (University of British Columbia, 2007)

Research Interests center on climate change adaptation, disaster psychosocial response, youth engagement in environmental crises, and community resilience frameworks. Her work bridges climate science with social capital and place attachment theories.

Scientific Awards

• Kelly Outstanding Teaching Award (2016)

Key Projects include leading the $2M Adaptation Learning Network (Natural Resources Canada) and contributing to international disaster recovery literature. She collaborates on cross-border initiatives with Puerto Rican youth and co-develops arts-based methodologies for trauma-informed resilience building.
