Robin L. Juni

Robin L. Juni serves as Associate Professor in the Fundamentals of Lawyering Program at George Washington University Law School. She teaches core legal skills to first-year students through the Fundamentals of Lawyering course, while also instructing upper-level students in specialized Negotiations and Environmental Negotiations courses.

Professor Juni earned her BA from Hamline University and JD from Harvard University. Her professional journey began with the Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division Honors Program, followed by nearly 15 years of practice at Jones Day, where she established herself as a leading environmental attorney (2007-2009). She then transitioned to academic administration as assistant dean in the GW Law Dean of Students Office before assuming her current full-time teaching position.

Her scholarly work centers on the critical intersection of mathematics and legal practice, examining how complex statistical concepts are presented and interpreted in legal settings. Professor Juni investigates the challenges of communicating mathematical evidence effectively before regulators, judges, and juries, with particular attention to pharmaceutical litigation and gerrymandering cases where statistical evidence plays a decisive role.

Professor Juni's research reveals a consistent pattern of addressing the communication gap between mathematical experts and legal decision-makers.
