Robin Effron is a Professor of Law and Dean’s Research Scholar at Brooklyn Law School. She co-directs the Dennis J. Block Center for the Study of International Business Law and teaches courses on civil procedure, litigation, and international business law. Her research focuses on procedural law, personal jurisdiction, forum selection clauses, and access to justice, with many articles published in leading law reviews and cited by courts worldwide. She was recently elected as a member of the American Law Institute (ALI), a prestigious honor recognizing her contributions to legal scholarship and reform.
Effron’s work bridges theoretical and practical aspects of procedure, emphasizing how legal frameworks interact with modern challenges like digital transformation and transnational litigation. Her scholarship addresses critical issues such as due process in the digital age, the role of contractual forum selection clauses, and innovative approaches to class action litigation.
