معرفی
Roberto Monaco is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship, Technical University of Denmark (DTU), specializing in energy systems digitalization and grid management. His work directly supports UN Sustainable Development Goals for clean energy and climate action through innovative technical solutions.
His research focuses on:
- Electric power distribution optimization
- Digitalization impacts on energy infrastructure
- Risk modeling for distribution grids
- Multi-criteria frameworks for sustainable transitions
- Cost-benefit analysis of grid modernization
Recent publications reveal a concentrated trend toward system-level analysis of digital-grid investments and industrial heat recovery, emphasizing practical implementation through system dynamics and decision frameworks. This work bridges technical engineering with policy-relevant economic modeling.
Monaco has secured significant project funding including the recently completed €2.1M "InnoCyPES" cyber-physical energy systems initiative (2021-2025) and the "actors and institutions" transition study (2022-2025), where he served as lead PhD researcher under Professor Nielsen.
He operates within DTU's Centre for Technology Entrepreneurship, collaborating with Distribution System Operators and EU energy agencies to develop open-source tools for grid modernization.
