PD Dr. Roberto Lo Presti is a Lecturer in the Department of Classics at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, affiliated with the Alexander von Humboldt Professorship under Prof. Philip van der Eijk. His academic journey includes a PhD from the University of Palermo (2008) and habilitation (2018). He specializes in the intersection of ancient medical thought, philosophy, and their early modern reception. His research focuses on Greek medical texts (e.g., Hippocrates, Galen), Aristotelian biological works, Renaissance anatomy, and the history of modern philosophy and biology.
