Roberto Doglione

Roberto Doglione is a Tenured Associate Professor at the Department of Applied Science and Technology (DISAT) at the Polytechnic of Turin. He is also a member of the Interdepartmental Center SISCON, focusing on safety of infrastructures and constructions.

• Research Interests: Crack closure effects on fatigue thresholds, hydrogen embrittlement, stress corrosion cracking, Portevin-Le Chatelier effect, and mixed-mode crack growth in rail steels.
• Projects: STAGEH2 (2024-2026) as Scientific Director, regionally and nationally funded initiatives on advanced materials and heat treatments.

His work emphasizes experimental mechanical testing, digital image correlation, and microstructural analysis. He teaches Materials for the Mechanical Industry and leads laboratory activities on plasticity and deformation fields. Doglione's research spans metallurgy, materials engineering, and industrial safety.
