Roberto Blanco

Roberto Blanco, MD, is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. He co-directs the UNC Program on Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry and serves as Medical Director for NC START Central.

• Specializes in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry
• Clinical focus: Autism, Developmental Disabilities, Telepsychiatry, and underserved community mental health
• Advisor for medical students in the Williamson College program and mentor through CAMPOS and RICE initiatives

He received his BA from Emory University and MD from Vanderbilt University. His work spans clinical services, public psychiatry, and cross-cultural mental health outreach, particularly for first-generation Latino immigrants.
