Roberto Abadie is an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education, specializing in medical anthropology with a focus on health inequalities and social stratification. His research examines marginalized populations, particularly people who inject drugs (PWID), and addresses ethical issues in public health and clinical trials.
Abadie holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the Graduate Center, CUNY, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in bioethics at the Mayo Clinic. His work is funded by the NIH/NIDA and the Greenwall Foundation.
His research interests include:
