Robert Lewis-Swan is the Tedd S. Webb Presidential Professor in the Homer L. Dodge Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Oklahoma. His research focuses on non-equilibrium many-body physics in atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) systems, with applications to quantum technologies. He explores quantum phenomena like entanglement and coherence in diverse systems including neutral atoms, polar molecules, and trapped-ion crystals. His work combines analytical and numerical methods to study complex interactions and quantum control.
