Dr. Robert L. Weisman is a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, with a focus on Forensic Psychiatry and Violence Risk Assessment for mentally disordered offenders. He serves as Senior Medical Director of Adult Ambulatory Services and Director of Clinical Care for the New York State ACT/FACT team. Dr. Weisman also directs the Charles E. Steinberg Memorial Fellowship in Psychiatry and Law.
Research Interests include community-based treatment models for mentally ill offenders, pharmacologic management of complex cases, and workplace violence prevention. He has developed the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (R-FACT) and Safety and Violence Education (SAVE) training curricula.

Training and Grants: Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, board-certified in General and Forensic Psychiatry. Secured grants from the University of Rochester and The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to develop training interventions for correctional professionals and the SAVE curriculum.
