Robert Koopman serves as the Hurst Senior Professorial Lecturer at the School of International Service, American University, and Editor-in-Chief of the Global Value Chain Development Report (2025). His distinguished career includes leadership roles as WTO Chief Economist and Director of the Economic Research and Statistics Division (2014-2022), USITC Chief Operating Officer (2011-2014), and USITC Chief Economist (1999-2011).
