Robert Kantrowitz is the Marjorie and Robert W. McEwen Professor of Mathematics at Hamilton College. He earned a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Syracuse University and joined Hamilton's faculty in 1990.
- Education: Ph.D., M.Phil., M.A. from Syracuse University; B.A. from Hamilton College.
His research focuses on mathematical analysis, particularly convex functions and their applications to projectile motion, as well as structural aspects of normed algebras and ordered fields. Recent work includes optimization of projectile motion with air resistance and classical series tests in normed spaces.
In terms of publications, Kantrowitz has contributed extensively to projectile motion under drag forces, convex function analysis, and functional algebraic structures. His articles appear in journals like International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences and Rendiconti del Circolo Matematico di Palermo.
