Dr. Robert Furilla is a Professor at the WWAMI School of Medical Education (University of Alaska Anchorage), teaching cardiovascular, pulmonary, and endocrine physiology. His research (1992-2001) examined respiratory control mechanisms in birds and reptiles. Publications explore chemoreception in snakes and gas exchange dynamics in ducks.
