Robert France is an Associate Professor at Dalhousie University's Department of Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences, part of the Faculty of Agriculture. He focuses on watershed management, environmental restoration, and the intersection of ecology with urban planning. His research spans aquatic ecosystems, land-use impacts, and climate change adaptation. He has authored numerous books and articles on topics like wetland design, restoration ecology, and the socio-cultural dimensions of environmental ethics. France has held positions at Harvard University and consulted globally on projects such as the Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council’s master plans and Taiwan’s Aogu Ecotourism Park. His work emphasizes integrating ecological principles with human-centric design to address environmental challenges.
