Robert D. Tilton is the Chevron Professor of Chemical Engineering and holds a joint appointment in Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University's College of Engineering. He directs the Center for Complex Fluids Engineering. His research focuses on colloidal phenomena in biomedical and environmental systems, including surfactant-based drug delivery and nanoparticle interactions.
