Robert Chapman Wood

Robert Chapman Wood is a Professor of Management at San José State University, specializing in strategic management and organizational innovation. He researches how leaders drive innovation in complex systems and teaches courses in Global Management, Strategic Management, and Strategic Thinking.

His work examines institutional transformation in organizations like IBM, the World Bank, and GE, emphasizing customer-centric innovation and digital strategy. He co-founded the Global Leadership and Technology Exchange, helping companies redesign value chains for sustainability.

Previously a journalist for 20 years (Forbes, Financial Times), he holds a DBA from Boston University and was a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard Business School.
