Robert Bruce is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences at Augusta University's Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. He has been affiliated with Augusta University for 14 years, focusing on teaching and research in sociology. He holds an MA (2003) and BA (1996) in Sociology from Georgia Southern University.
His research interests include social change, cultural change, and mental health. He teaches courses such as Social Problems Analysis, Introduction to Sociology, and Social & Cultural Diversity. Bruce has received notable recognitions, including the Alpha Kappa Delta Inductee (2018) and an Outstanding Teaching Award (2013).
He has served as Faculty Advisor for the Sociology Club (2016–2019) and Committee Member of the Student Learning Objectives Committee (2017–2019), contributing significantly to departmental service.
