Robert Bates is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Anthropology & Archaeology at Andrews University's School of Social & Behavioral Sciences. He holds a Post-Doctoral Research degree from the University of Chicago (2006), a Ph.D. in Biblical Archaeology & History of Antiquity from Andrews University (2004), an M.A. in Religion from Loma Linda University (1990), a B.A. in Religion from Loma Linda University (1987), and an A.S. in Nursing from Pacific Union College (1985).
His research focuses on Near Eastern Languages, Biblical Archaeology, and the study of antiquity.
