معرفی
Robert Aaron Levine is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Yale School of Medicine, Yale University. His research focuses on valvular heart disease, mitral valve prolapse, echocardiography, and cardiac genetics. He holds an MD from SUNY Upstate Medical Center (1966) and is board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Key research interests include the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying valvular diseases, arrhythmic risk assessment via imaging, and the pathophysiology of mitral and aortic valve disorders. He has contributed to studies on lymphangiogenesis in rheumatic valve disease and left atrial function in mitral stenosis patients. His work bridges clinical cardiology with translational research, addressing both molecular mechanisms and community health implications.
Levine has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles in journals like Circulation Cardiovascular Imaging, Arteriosclerosis Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, and Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography. He has been involved in grants, including a 2003 Donaghue Initiative grant for biomedical ethics. His professional activities include roles in academic governance and mentorship within Yale School of Medicine.
Levine’s clinical expertise spans laboratory medicine and cardiology, with a focus on integrating imaging and genetic data to improve risk stratification and patient outcomes in valvular diseases.
