Dr. Rob Thompson is an Associate Professor and Coordinator for the Student Development Administration program at Indiana Wesleyan University. With over 25 years of administrative experience in Student Development and ten years as full-time faculty, he specializes in areas such as college student autonomy, LGBTQ+ identity development on Christian campuses, and leadership in higher education.

Research Interests: Thompson focuses on campus community dynamics, LGBTQ+ inclusivity in Christian institutions, and leadership models like servant leadership. His work addresses how institutional environments shape student identity and development.
Affiliations & Service: Active in professional organizations including NASPA, ACPA, and ACUHO-I. Served as Chair for SWACUHO’s Research Committee and on committees for ACPA and ACSD national conferences. A frequent speaker at regional/national conferences, delivering workshops on student development and institutional leadership.
