Dr. Dustin Evatt is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Higher Education at Western Carolina University (WCU), affiliated with the College of Education and Allied Professions. He serves as Program Director for the Leadership Minor and Social Justice Minor, and chairs disquisition committees in the Ed.D. program. His roles include teaching undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses across leadership, higher education administration, and educational leadership.

Research Interests: Dr. Evatt’s work focuses on critical leadership and equity-mindedness in higher education, employing critical whiteness and queer theories. He explores how administrators and students navigate issues of race, identity, and inclusion. His research has been presented at conferences such as NASPA, ACPA, NCORE, and SACSA.

Teaching & Advising: Dr. Evatt teaches courses in leadership theory, higher education administration, and critical perspectives in education. He advises doctoral students through disquisition committees and emphasizes critical praxis in his pedagogy, blending constructivist learning with social justice frameworks.
