Rob Fairman

Rob Fairman is a Professor of Biology at Haverford College, where he has been since 1997. He specializes in protein polymerizing systems and neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Huntington’s, ALS, and Alzheimer’s. He earned his Ph.D. in biochemistry from Stanford University. As associate provost, he led the renovation of Sharpless Hall, now housing biology and psychology departments. He co-founded the 'Biochem Superlab' course, which emphasizes student-driven research and published a peer-reviewed paper in PLoS Biology in 2017. His research uses advanced techniques like analytical ultracentrifugation to study protein aggregation mechanisms.
