معرفی
David Eliezer is a Professor of Neuroscience and Biochemistry at Weill Cornell Medical College. His research focuses on applying NMR spectroscopy to study non-native structural biology of proteins involved in neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. He holds dual professorships in the Brain and Mind Research Institute and the Department of Biochemistry.
Education: Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Stanford University (1994), M.S. and B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan (1988, 1987).
Research Interests
- NMR spectroscopy for large protein structural analysis
- Protein aggregation and misfolding mechanisms
- Therapeutic targets for neurodegenerative diseases
Grants & Funding
- CHCHD10 Frontotemporal Dementia (NIH, 2024-2029)
- Metabotropic Glutamate Receptor Regulation (NIH, 2023-2028)
- Alpha-Synuclein Post-translational Modifications (NIH, 2022-2025)
His lab develops innovative NMR techniques to study protein dynamics in disease-relevant states, with particular emphasis on α-synuclein and other aggregation-prone proteins.
