Professor River Xiao is a highly accomplished academic at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), affiliated with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, the Border Biomedical Research Center (BBRC), and the Bioinformatics program. With over 30 years of expertise in molecular biology and 25 years of experience combining X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), his research focuses on structural biochemical studies of viruses, marine organisms, and the mammalian circadian system.
