Rita Spain is an Assistant Professor at Iscte-University Institute of Lisbon, where she serves as Director of the Master's in Communication, Culture and Information Technologies and conducts research at CIES-Iscte. Her work focuses on "Communication, Information Technologies and Health," "Health Literacy," and "Generations and Communication Technology." She is also a member of the Health Mission Team at Iscte and coordinates ERASMUS activities for the Department of Sociology.
Rita Spain contributes to academic discourse as an Associate Editor of the Observatório magazine (OBS*), a member of the Scientific Committee of Edicciones-InCom-UAB, and part of the Editorial Committee of Revista de Comunicación y Salud. Her publications span key areas including Health Communication, Digital Networks, and Youth Media studies in Portugal.
