Risto Koivula

Risto Koivula serves as a University Lecturer and Docent at the Department of Chemistry, University of Helsinki, where he supervises doctoral programs in Materials Research and Nanosciences as well as Chemistry and Molecular Sciences. His research centers on ion exchange technologies for nuclear waste treatment and critical metal recycling, with emphasis on inorganic materials development for radionuclide separation.
