Risto Atanasov is Professor of Mathematics in the College of Arts and Sciences at Western Carolina University. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from SUNY Binghamton and advanced degrees from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Macedonia.
His research explores fundamental mathematical structures in group theory, topological systems, combinatorial mathematics, and graph theory applications. He investigates algebraic structures and their topological representations, combinatorial designs, and graph-theoretical models with potential applications in network analysis and discrete mathematics.
