Rima Greenhill is a Senior Lecturer in the Language Center at Stanford University, where she has taught all levels of Russian since 1991. Prior to this, she taught at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies (University College London). Her research focuses on trade and diplomatic relations between England and Russia under the Tudors and Stuarts, as well as Shakespeare and the Age of Discovery.
- Education: Ph.D. in Russian Language and Literature, M.A. in History of the Russian Language and 19th c. Russian Novel, M.A. in Foreign Language Teaching Methodology, B.A. in Russian Language and Linguistics.
Her recent book, Shakespeare, Elizabeth and Ivan: The Role of English-Russian Relations in Love's Labours Lost (2023), explores Russian elements in Shakespearean literature, linking historical contexts to literary analysis. Her work bridges interdisciplinary themes in linguistics, cultural history, and Renaissance studies.
