Rima Farah serves as a Visiting Lecturer in the Jewish Studies Program within Northeastern University's College of Social Sciences and Humanities, with additional affiliations in International Affairs and World Languages and Cultures.
She holds a doctoral degree from Brandeis University, where her dissertation examined "The Predicament of the National Identity of Arabic Speaking Christians in Israel: 1982-2014".
Her research focuses on political and cultural histories of modern Israel and the Middle East, emphasizing ethnic/national identity formation among minorities and political thought. She investigates intra-Israeli ethnic conflicts and regional tensions, while also studying Hebrew culture pedagogy in Israel and the United States. Fluent in Hebrew, Arabic, and English with functional French knowledge, her current work explores the role of "otherness" in Israeli cultural development.
