Rikard Wärdig is a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in Nursing at Linköping University, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Nursing and Reproductive Health (ORH). His work spans teaching, research, and program management, including deputy management of specialist nursing and midwifery programs.
His research focuses on suicide prevention, psychiatric nursing, and mental health, with a holistic care perspective on suicidality. Collaborating with teams like Patrik Rytterström and Sally Hultsjö, he explores suicide risk assessment, suicidal trajectories, and ethics in nursing.
