Rikard Einegard is a PartTime Lecturer at Malmö University's Faculty of Learning and Society, jointly affiliated with the Department of Childhood, Education and Society and the Department of Society, Culture and Identity. He is concurrently a doctoral candidate at the National Graduate School of History. His research specializes in the socio-cultural history of chiropractic in Sweden, examining professional legitimization, organizational strategies, and institutional conflicts from the early 20th century onward.
His work employs historical archives, policy documents, and media analysis to trace chiropractic's evolution within Swedish healthcare. Key themes include professional boundary disputes, cultural perceptions of alternative medicine, and state regulation dynamics. His doctoral thesis (2025) represents his most significant contribution to this field.
