Rik Leemans

Prof. Rik Leemans is a leading climate scientist at Wageningen University's Earth Systems and Global Change group, focusing on biodiversity-climate interactions and sustainability solutions. His transdisciplinary research bridges environmental science and policy.

Primary research examines climate adaptation strategies, including nature-based coastal protection, sustainable agriculture in arid regions, and transdisciplinary approaches to global environmental challenges.
