معرفی
Karimon Nesha is a Researcher at the Laboratory of Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing, Wageningen University. Her work focuses on environmental science, remote sensing, and forest monitoring, with a particular emphasis on tropical peat forests, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and biomass mapping. She collaborates with institutions in Africa (Congo), Indonesia, and Peru.
- Education: PhD in Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing (Wageningen University, 2025)
Her research integrates satellite data and field observations to address climate change impacts, forest conservation, and carbon stock assessment. She has contributed to national forest inventory improvements and mangrove restoration projects.
Recent publications highlight her expertise in spatiotemporal analysis, earth observations, and climate policy support. She has co-authored datasets on forest monitoring and biomass integration, available via Zenodo. Collaborative networks span the Congo Basin, Indonesia, and Peru, focusing on tropical forest dynamics.
Her methodological strengths include synthetic aperture radar (ALOS-2 PALSAR-2), optical/radar earth observations, and multi-temporal global biomass maps. Future work may expand applications in climate adaptation and sustainable forest management.
