Johannes Balling

Johannes Balling is a Postdoc researcher at the Laboratory of Geo-information Science and Remote Sensing, Wageningen University. His work focuses on tropical forest monitoring using satellite remote sensing, particularly integrating Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and optical data to detect forest disturbances. He has contributed to projects analyzing deforestation patterns in regions like Indonesia and the Amazon, leveraging tools like Google Earth Engine for large-scale data analysis.
